Golf R with Audi RS3 engine

A stock Golf R Mk7 puts out 306hp and 295lb-ft of torque. One owner however decided that wasn't quite enough punch and has swapped in a turbocharged 2.5 5 cylinder from an Audi RS3 Sportback. Apparently the new setup is said to push out around 600hp, making it even more powerful than the RS4 Avant. Have a look at it tearing up the strip.

I don't see why you wouldn't just buy an RS3 if you were looking for more power. I can only imagine how much money was spent on this conversion and it really doesn't sound like a 600hp car.

The Golf has a timeless design, and there are always going to be owners who aren't satisfied with what's provided from OEM. Would've liked to have seen it in some head to heads, to see just how capable it is. Interestingly enough it looks like it still running the stock brakes..

This was something that I noticed as well. You should always upgrade your tires and brakes when making such significant changes to the powertrain. Think this thing would pass emissions lol?

sometimes better pads can help along with engine braking with the road left after the finish line.

I agree. But this video doesn't really give us a proper look at his braking setup. I don't see why it wouldn't pass emissions, but we also don't know what's been done to the exhaust.
