So long as you take into consideration your average commute, than a used EV could very well meet your daily needs. With so many government incentives going away, the affordability of new models is going to become an issue again.

To fleet managers it will matter a lot
Lucky for them, getting a batch of batteries done could result in an even cheaper cost.
The future car buyer will be more so fleet managers than individuals.

Car ownership is shifting and it'll have to if we really hope to clean up congestion. We're seeing subscriptions services now from almost every automaker, and for the most part they are fairly reasonable. Have to admit it would be nice not having to worry about vehicle repairs and maintenance.
